Ritz Guggiana is the owner of Nutri-Fit. Or as he says it, “I’m doing what I love and I’m able to help people, by teaching them how to take care of their bodies.”
Ritz’s passion for weight training started early in life (13 years old!), and over time, people naturally started to come to him for help and advice. In addition to gaining results, he had a knack for explaining ideas and concepts, and a unique skill for truly seeing how the body moves.
That was just the beginning. Ritz eventually pursued a career as a personal trainer, leading him to open Nutri-Fit. With his company, he’s now able to share his ideas and knowledge to help even more people.
Also, for those who come into the the gym, there’s a good chance you’ll meet the very friendly Mazzy, the official Nutri-Fit mascot.
Health and fitness is important to everyone. Or at least it should be. That’s because everyone has a body, and all of us need to take care of it to enjoy life.
As much as we concentrate in strength training, we also focus in mobility and flexibility.
Without full mobility of the joints and muscles, we’re not able to work the body as intended. And then we start to have pain from working out and in everyday life.
The way we live, with so much sitting, as we’re driving, or in the office, causes our hips to become tight, causing dysfunction and shortens things like our hip flexors. We’re also using our hands and wrists a lot more. Think about how many times you’re on your phone! These kind of repeated habits can and will cause problems. Of course, aging is also a factor in our mobility.
Our idea is to make everyone aware of the importance of mobility and to learn how to address it.
We don’t want you to rely on us forever. Our goal is for clients to learn as we teach, to become their own health and fitness advocates. That’s also why we tailor everything we do, to the individual. When you train with us, we’ll share advice and recommendations, and we’ll make sure you know how to apply it.
This isn’t just a workout or a nutrition plan. It’s a plan for your future.
When you walk in, we want you to see the pride we take in training you. In addition to a well equipped gym and an always clean space, we’re constantly upgrading it. We don’t think we’ll ever be done.
Our space is conveniently located off the 101 in Cotati, with easy parking.
